Heraclitus wrote “In the same river we both step and do not step, we are and are not”

Simplified Heraclitus was saying the world is in constant change.  While we may step into a river that one has always know and experienced, the water flowing over our feet will never be the same as the water that flowed even a moment before.

This idea inspired this work because the very nature of life is flux.  To resist is to resist the essence of our existence.  Life is fluid and has a flow.  In this work I am embracing personal change and working with the flow instead of against it.
