In case you missed it, we wanted to share with you the story of Carmen Herrera, the 94 year old Manhattan artist who is just beginning to gain recognition for her work.

 

If you click HERE you can read a New York Times article about Carmen and her lifelong commitment to create.  Carmen's story is inspirational on a number of levels, and we loved the fact that she has maintained her vision for so long without seeking the accolades that so many artists tend to make a priority.

 

In the end, every creative individual will leave some sort of legacy of their work behind them.  The good ones (recognized or not) are the ones that maintain their vision without wavering.  It would appear that Carmen Herrera is one of the good ones...
