We generally tend to land plenty of travel jobs over the winter months, but that doesn't stop us from taking time to revel in our native winter weather.  One increasingly popular activity for Team Elledge is riding on the ice - a version of racing that involves customized motorcycles (outfitted with studded tires, etc.).  There are few things as exhilarating as tearing across a frozen lake on a clear winter morning!

 

If you are into motorcycles and haven't had a chance to experience this type of winter entertainment, we highly recommend that you check it out!

Well, the new year has so far sent us on a lot of travels, and the next several weeks will see Team Elledge continuing to bounce around the country (the above image was snapped on a recent trip to NYC).  We have mentioned it before, but we'll say it again - we love getting to travel and meet interesting people in interesting places.  It's truly one of the best parts of our job!  Plus, we love the challenge of making a compelling image in a location that we are not familiar with.  There are always an assortment of unique challenges that arise on a location shoot, and we enjoy the opportunity to meet them head on and provide amazing solutions.

 

One thing that has really made our travels a lot easier over the past year is the phenomenal BlinkBid software.  The fine folks over at BlinkBid have really put together a very useful software package that enables us to stay on top of all of our bids, etc., even while we are on the road.  Like so much technology, we now really can't figure out how we ever managed to survive before BlinkBid came into our lives...  Check it out, and maybe it will help make your travels that much more efficient.

In case you missed it, Friday marked Elvis' 75th birthday.  To Commemorate this occasion, the Smithsonian has put together a traveling show called Elvis at 21, which will feature some amazing photographs by Alfred Wertheimer.
